The State University of Paraíba (UEPB) is a Brazilian public university, established in Campina Grande in Paraiba, and campuses in the cities of Laguna Seca, Guarabira, semiarid region of Paraíba, João Pessoa, Ducks, and Mills.
Founded on October 11, 1987 by the then Governor of Pernambuco, Tarcisio de Miranda Buriti no longer the University Northeast Regional (Furnas) to become in Public State University, recognized by the Federal Eduaçao in 1996.
The UEPB now has about 30 undergraduate courses with more than 15 thousand students in its 7 campuses.
